Whichever route you go, the best way to learn Linux is to follow these steps:

• Decide which version of Linux you will use.
• Install the Linux operating system on your hardware (either as a dedicated install, or as a shared install)
• Create a list of functions or tasks you want to be able to accomplish, like: word processing, networking, programming, etc.
• Try to do each task.
• Seek appropriate help resources.
